Alana’s Approach to Therapy

Being in relationship with others is a universal human experience, though it doesn’t come without challenges. I believe the way we show up in our relationships with others, and ourselves sets the foundation for everything else in our lives. As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC), I work with individuals and couples navigating relationships in all spheres of functioning with particular specialties in pre-dating, dating, relationship adjustments, complex family dynamics, and grief. My goal is to create a safe and nurturing space for clients to authentically explore their emotional worlds and relational challenges.

Practicing from a trauma-informed, integrative relational lens, I draw on existential and psychodynamic theories to guide clients toward deeper self-awareness and understanding. Grounded in feminist and systems-based approaches, I also emphasize the importance of social contexts, power dynamics, and the influence of broader systems on relationships and personal well-being.

With a calm and comforting demeanor, I strive to foster trust and openness while also holding clients accountable to encourage meaningful and long-lasting growth. I am dedicated to helping clients build stronger, more fulfilling connections with themselves and others.
